Bringing Theatre to Life: Promotional Design for GTG’s Upcoming Shows

At Neil Phillips Design, we love helping local arts organisations bring their creative visions to the stage—and beyond. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with GTG (Godalming Theatre Group) on promotional material for three of their upcoming productions: For the Love of Music, Bedroom Farce, and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

For these shows, we designed and produced a suite of eye-catching promotional items, including flyers, advertisements, and show programmes. Each piece was carefully crafted to reflect the unique character and tone of the production it represents.

For the Love of Music – A celebration of musical theatre classics, this show called for vibrant, uplifting visuals that capture the energy and emotion of live performance.

Bedroom Farce – As a beloved comedy by Alan Ayckbourn, our designs for this production focused on witty, playful graphics that hint at the humour and farcical twists of the storyline.

Goldilocks and the Three Bears – Designed as a family-friendly production, the promotional material for this show features charming, storybook-inspired artwork to appeal to children and adults alike.

By combining creativity with a clear understanding of each production’s audience and message, we’ve helped GTG communicate the excitement of their new season to theatre-goers across the area. From printed flyers and adverts to detailed show programmes that audiences can keep as souvenirs, our aim was to make each piece as engaging and memorable as the performances themselves.

What our
clients say …

“Working with Neil is like having our own in-house designer.”

Denise Inwood, BlueSky Education

“Perfect! Thanks so much, always so easy working with you to get the results I want ☺”

Sam Saul, Marketing Manager - Empiribox

“Neil Phillips is a designer who listens, takes on your ideas and makes them work within the constraints of design technology.  A rare breed in that he gets to know your business meaning he can also ‘thinks’ for you rather than just putting assets on “paper” without thinking about the meaning and content. He has been GTG’s designer for many years and his level of service and creativity has never failed.”

Madeleine Gibb, Godalming Theatre Group

“I have been working with Neil for over 6 years – he is professional, polite, efficient and very good at what he does and isn’t afraid of giving an honest opinion. Neil will always go the extra mile to ensure that a project meets its deadline without compromising on the quality of the output.”

Matthew Mitchell, Legacy Legal

“My colleague and I were just discussing how brilliant you are to work with and how our company now has a solid brand all thanks to the work you do!”
